As organisations reimagine their operating models amid shifting economic, cultural and technological landscapes, insourcing is rapidly re-emerging as a critical topic on the HR agenda. Far beyond a cost-efficiency tactic, insourcing is being recognised as a strategic move—a way to restore organisational humanity, reconnect with people and purpose, and realign operations with values-led leadership.

For our November 2025 edition of theHRDIRECTOR (Issue 253), we are inviting senior HR leaders, practitioners and subject matter experts to submit article proposals on the theme:
Insourcing – Maintaining Humanity.

We are looking for powerful, original contributions that explore how organisations are navigating the transition from outsourcing to insourcing with empathy, cultural sensitivity and long-term strategic vision. This issue will delve into how insourcing can strengthen employee engagement, rebuild trust, and create opportunities for capability building, inclusion, and innovation.

Areas of Focus May Include:

  • Real-world case studies of successful (or challenging) insourcing journeys.
  • Leadership insights on maintaining trust, culture and engagement during transitions.
  • Aligning insourcing strategies with ESG, DEI and wellbeing agendas.
  • The role of employee voice, co-creation and change management in insourcing.
  • How AI, automation and digital tools can support more human-centred insourcing models.
  • Legal, operational and cultural complexities of reversing outsourcing agreements.

We’re seeking sharp perspectives, lived experience, and strategic insight that offer practical, forward-thinking relevance for our senior HR readership.

If you are an HR leader or expert with experience or knowledge in this space, we invite you to submit your article scope via our online portal:
