The world’s first disability job board Evenbreak today announced it has joined the Disability Ethical AI Alliance (DEAI) in solidarity with leading global organisations such as IBM and the Australian Network on Disability, who are working to ensure HR tech is working for disabled people, not against them.

While gender inequality in tech has dominated discussions in recent times, findings from the new data by Anderson Frank, a Tenth Revolution Group company, show that tangible progress remains elusive.
The research findings reveal that women in tech have an average of almost 3 years less experience than their male counterparts, a disparity that may not only impacts their chances of progression but also restricts their access to senior and leadership roles.
As it stands, just 26% of those in the UK tech workforce are women. Research by Revolent shows that 87% of the top 500 companies led by female decision-makers last year reported above-average profits, compared to just 78% of companies without a female CEO.

EDGE Certified Foundation has published a DE&I legislative overview of the top 20 countries by current EDGE Certifications. The EquiNations overview shows that the vast majority of the 20 researched countries have implemented legislation to safeguard against discrimination in employment based on gender, race/ethnicity, nationality, LGBTQ+ identity, age, or working with a disability.
