Criminal charges for failing to notify BIS about redundancies

The Guardian has reported that Sports Direct chief executive David Forsey, along with a USC administrator, have been charged with a criminal offence following the collapse of fashion retailer USC and the consequential redundancies affecting over 80 staff.

Law Society tell MoJ tribunal fees have harmed access to justice

The Law Society (LS) have sent a letter to the Ministry of Justice Team set up to conduct a review of employment tribunal fees. The LS’ members have told them that claimants with strong cases see the fee as a significant deterrent to pursuing a complaint.
