Acas have published a new podcast ‘Black lives matter: the workplace’. Acas, share their insights into what organisations and individuals can do to make their workplaces truly more equal, including what intersectionality is [interconnected nature of social categorisations] and why it matters. The podcast examines how racism and inequality are experienced and persist, what white people need to do to be part of change, and what organisations and leaders need to do to be responsible for change. The CIPD webinar series on racism and the challenge for HR examines the history that’s still influencing society’s systemic racism, explores how HR leaders can create a more inclusive workplace culture, and discusses where we go next. It is one of the CIPD’s support channels to help business leaders and HR professionals tackle racism in the workplace. The first webinar discusses the history that’s still influencing society’s systemic racism. The second looks at how HR leaders can create a more inclusive workplace culture. The third webinar discusses the future for an inclusive workplace.
