Business in the Community in partnership with Public Health England have produced the first ever sleep and recovery toolkit to help employers work with employees to support sleep and recovery.  The toolkit offers insight and advice on addressing the increasingly damaging sleep-loss epidemic where it is estimated that 200,000 working days are lost in the UK each year due to insufficient sleep. Pages 30 to 32 contain a number of suggested actions for employers covering: (1) Prevention: creating the right culture and providing support; (2) Early intervention: recognising and addressing sleep deprivation; and (3) Recovery: helping employees to recuperate.
