The BEIS has launched a consultation on ethnicity pay reporting which will enable employers to identify – and then tackle – the barriers to creating a truly diverse workforce. The consultation asks for views on how the Government can take forward its manifesto commitment to ask large employers to publish ethnicity pay data while ensuring proposals are proportionate. The document seeks responses to 11 questions, including what type of ethnicity pay information should be reported (see pages 16 and 17 for the options), what supporting or contextual data (if any) should be disclosed and should an employer be required to publish an action plan to address any disparities?
