The CBI and TUC have issued a joint statement on the role of the Government, business and trade unions in the coming weeks to minimise the impact on workers and the economy following the EU referendum.

The CBI and TUC have issued a joint statement on the role of the Government, business and trade unions in the coming weeks to minimise the impact on workers and the economy following the EU referendum. The statement calls for the Government to do everything possible to secure jobs and investment, and to reassure workers worried about the potential implications for employment and social protections, as well as the impact on their working lives. Both organisations also highlight the appalling nature of racially motivated incidents post-Brexit and urge employers, unions and others to do all they can to make workplaces a beacon of inclusion and tolerance.
