We are looking for an experienced enthusiastic and highly motivated payroll administrator to join our team. 

They must be able to deal with high-volume payroll, you must be proactive, have excellent attention to detail and of course be a team player. 

The Payroll Administrator will be working within the Payroll department. They will be working in a team of 5.

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience of payroll processing
  • Understand accounting principles
  • Knowledge of HRMC/regulations/requirements
  • Understand internal controls
  • Team Player
  • Methodical
  • Excellent time management
  • Act as one of the first points of contact for payroll and pension related issues for managers, staff and external agencies, such as HMRC and Pension providers.
  • Build and maintain strong and effective working relationships with faculty and Professional Services colleagues, taking a pro-active approach and meeting with managers and staff where necessary.

This post is full time and permanent. The salary will be on the Professional salary scale /Academic pathways Grade 4  in the range £29,854 – £33,959 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
