Salary: UH6 £28,756 – £31,406 per annum with potential to progress to £34,304 per annum on achieving designated skills and experience

We are looking for a passionate Development Facilitator to join our team and deliver engaging and high-quality training to staff at all levels in the University.

Main duties and responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering training workshops on a variety of topics, including the induction programme for new staff, as well as leading or supporting projects and schemes related to the development of staff at the University. You will be involved in analysing learning needs, assisting in adapting or designing development material and evaluating your work.

Skills and experience required

You will be a professional, confident facilitator who is experienced using an assortment of technology in both face to face sessions and online workshops. You will have experience delivering topics to a range of audiences and able to gain credibility quickly through subject knowledge and excellent communication skills. You will be able to successfully build and develop excellent working relationships with colleagues at all levels to work together on events or projects.

You will have proven organisational and planning skills and be able to manage multiple workshops, projects and priorities. You will be experienced at problem solving under pressure and ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in your written work. You will be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and be always committed to delivering an excellent service to our customers.

Qualifications required

You will be educated with a degree, or an equivalent level qualification, or you will have proven professional work experience. A recognised professional qualification (e.g. CIPD or equivalent) is desirable.
