The Department of Pharmacology, within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a HR & Postgraduate Coordinator. This is an exciting and varied role managing and leading on all day to day local HR functions as well as overseeing and providing the administration underpinning our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, assessment and quality assurance. 

This role reports to the Departmental Administrator and manages a small team. You  establish and manage good working relationships with a wide variety of people from all over the world and have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a high standard.

Candidates must be educated to at least A-level standard or equivalent and have some office experience, particularly in a busy HR or teaching setting. Previous experience in University systems as well as an understanding of an academic environment is desirable. The role holder will have excellent IT skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office software; experience using CamSIS and Moodle would be considered an advantage.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, and a positive, service-oriented, can-do attitude. They will be able to work both independently and in a team, with a pro-active approach to troubleshooting and problem solving. Attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and effective time management are essential.
