Our client in the industrial sector based in Reigate, Surrey is looking to recruit an experienced Interim HR Director for a minimum 6 months possibly longer. Outside IR35 the role reports directly into the Managing Director. The purpose of the role is to define, implement and evolve the strategic HR vision for an ambitious business at the start of a process of transformation. You would be responsible for managing and developing our HR team; embedding a high-performance culture in pursuit of our new vision; the adoption of our new values and ensuring all HR processes and policies comply with relevant legislation.
Role responsibilities Review existing policies/procedures within the organisation Review current HR structure – people, processes and upskill/restructure Raise the profile of HR within the organisation Develop strategies for optimising people, processes, systems, and culture to accelerate business performance Provide advice and coaching to management teams to help drive employee performance through effective people management. Oversee the attraction and recruitment process to ensure the right people are recruited into the right roles at the right time, whilst managing recruitment costs and reducing time to hire Develop and shape a long-term workforce strategy, designed to retain and develop talent Serve as a strategic business advisor to the Board on key organisational and management issues Regularly audit HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are reflective of changes in employment legislation and communicated across the business Build and manage the annual HR Budget Person Specification Fully demonstrated by a proven track record in a similar HR position Proven ability to proactively translate changing business objectives to effective HR strategies Demonstrated ability to independently develop, drive and contribute to overall strategy and business plans Possesses a high degree of emotional intelligence, empathy, intellectual energy, outstanding interpersonal, conflict-resolution, coaching and listening skills Knowledge of employment law required Confident in providing HR leadership to a small but busy HR team You would need to be available by beginning of September. The role is largely office based but there is the opportunity to work from home when required. In return you will receive a day rate of between 450- 550 for a limited company contractor.
For PAYE the rate will be less.
