Wild Berry Associates is working with one of the top Architect firms in London, currently seeking an HR Advisor to start in the New Year. Ideally we are looking for someone with a similar background in Architect or Construction as it is important to understand the business and it’s values. Some Key Areas of Responsibility: Core Functions Provide effective HR advice and support to a practice of approximately 280 employees Assist in shaping the practice’s culture and values to support the business objectives Assist with the identification of skills and competencies within the practice Ensure best practice in all areas of HR policies and procedures Respond to day to day queries from employees within your designated studios providing timely information and advice Recruitment and Induction Manage an end to end recruitment schedule, review CVs, obtain input from Management team, produce offers of employment Oversee the new starter process Carry out a thorough induction with all new starters ensuring a smooth transition into the practice Employee Relations Promote equality and diversity as part of the practice’s culture Maintain HR policies and procedures in line with changing employment legislation Ensure policies are communicated and implemented consistently Advise on HR policy best practice Performance Management Advise line managers on how to manage any performance issues of employees, recommending Performance improvement Plans and providing guidance throughout Manage the annual review and profit share scoring processes, communicating these procedures practice-wide Work with managers to help moderate profit share scoring across the practice Collate data from the annual reviews and prepare actions Learning and Development Analyse training and development needs, ensuring needs are appropriately addressed Manage the mentoring scheme initiative Work with the HR Director to create career development plans for all levels across the studio Deliver, arrange and facilitate training across all levels Manage the online LinkedIn Learning platform, working with the LinkedIn Learning rep to increase engagement Payroll and Reward Assist with salary bench-marking and the annual salary review process Work with the HR Director to develop the practice’s employee benefits package Conduct research on new engagement initiatives and employee benefits and roll this out across the practice Payroll occasionally Run auto-enrolment from Cascade and submit pension joiners on the system Assist with the annual profit share process and with the HR Director present to the management team on the model, process and key learning’s Reporting Provide regular reports from the Cascade system on headcount figures and key statistics Provide statistics and responses to bids and tenders Produce monthly and quarterly HR Reports for the Operations Board Monitor and review staff working hours on a monthly basis with studio leads, recommending TOIL where appropriate Skills and Experience required; Essential Understanding of UK employment legislation and its implementation in practice Attention to detail Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business Degree level educated Desirable HR experience within a large architecture practice with multiple site offices including an understanding of the study requirements and career paths of Architects Experience using Cascade HR CIPD level 3-5 If you believe you are right for the role, please apply below.
