The book explores the intersection between executive leaders and their career transitions and how they can avoid the biggest mistakes and transition most successfully. I decided to write this book because way too many executives fail during their transition. The failure rate is about 40% during the first 18 months. The book includes stories and insights from thought leaders as well as senior executives and my own experience as an executive transition coach. The coolest story I share in this book is how a Chief HR Officer was able to successfully overcome 7 major executive transition challenges during our yearlong working together. My perspective is unique because I have integrated three different perspectives: Firstly, that of a Human Resources Leader who has worked in multinational companies. Secondly, that of a Corporate Executive who has been walking the talk successfully. And thirdly that of an experienced Executive Transition Coach. I have combined the latest thought leadership with practices that actually work in organisations. My hope for this book is to bend executive transitions AWAY from pure luck and failure TOWARDS the masterful and successfully crafted. This is my life’s work: Supporting people to grow beyond what they imagined possible. People will love this book if they are an executive who is keen to transition successfully, thereby avoiding the biggest mistakes and doing it with ease and grace, also -virtually.
