Laura Toscano, HR Director, Moog

As part of our ongoing series of Video Interviews with HR Directors in a wide variety of organisations, across different sectors and industries, we talked to Laura Toscano, HR Director, Moog – which supplies and services its own servo valves, designing aerospace test systems, through to manufacturing Formula 1 subminature servo valves. This interview was recorded prior to Covid-19 and the full interview appeared in the April issue of our flagship publication (by this single issue for only £4.99).

Laura responds to six questions, designed to gain an understanding of how Moog is preparing for the future challenges that it faces which are many in aviation, one of the hardest hit sectors in this pandemic.

Peter Banks, Founder & Managing Director of theHRDIRECTOR commented: “On watching this video I am struck by how Laura mentions the very first signs of Covid-19, that were already having a significant impact on their business in Shanghai, as early as the end of September 2019. This is just one of the many disruptive challenges Moog is facing and Laura explains how they do genuinely trust their employees and allowing people to be themselves at work is key, so the diversity of an individual is really valued.”
