Clear signs of gender pay gap progress

Discover the latest gender pay gap statistics from OneAdvanced, showcasing a substantial reduction from 11.4% to 6.2% over the past year.

Latest gender pay gap statistics* demonstrate the progress the firm has made in the area in the past 12 months. The business’ pay gap has reduced from a median average of 11.4% in 2022 to 6.2%.  Katie Obi, Chief People Officer at OneAdvanced said: “I’m really pleased to see a sizeable reduction in our gender pay gap over the last year. Gender pay gaps are a consequence of numerous wider factors and we have worked hard to proactively address these issues, so it’s really encouraging to see that our initiatives are delivering results.

“The business has undergone significant change over the last year and a key part of that has involved focusing on culture and our employees’ experience. This includes the introduction of a programme linking pay to objective performance measures which helps to reduce unconscious bias.”

Just last week the business became OneAdvanced – and launched eight sector-focused software portfolios. As part of this transformation, it also relaunched its Employee Value Proposition with a focus on four key pillars of the employee experience; to connect people with the positive impact they make for customers, support people in realising their potential through skills and career development, empower employees in innovating to solve challenges, and creating an environment where everyone can authentically belong.

The business has a clear focus on diversity and inclusion throughout every level of the business in line with its societal strategy which focuses on reducing inequality.

As well as reporting on its gender pay gap, the business has for the last four years voluntarily reported on its diversity pay gap, tracking performance in relation to ethnicity, disability, and sexual orientation and using the output to inform its strategy, actions, and decisions.

Katie continued: “We view diversity, in all its forms, as a strategic differentiator for us and our customers. We work hard at creating an inclusive and fair place for to work. We have developed inclusion initiatives such as a menopause policy, a flexible working approach, and have been named an endometriosis-friendly employer by Endometriosis UK as part of our commitment to supporting women at OneAdvanced. Our Women’s Network is highly active and closely involved in policy development to inform our working practices and ensure they provide for an equitable and inclusive place of work.”

OneAdvanced was last week included in the inaugural LinkedIn ranking of the top 15 midsized UK businesses, highlighting its attractiveness as a place to work and grow a career. The list assessed the company on eight key areas including skills growth, progression, stability, the connectedness of its employees, and gender parity.

Businesses in Great Britain with more than 250 employees must report their gender pay gap figures at the end of each financial year.
