When it comes to employee feedback, there is a gap between theory and practice according to Questback’s pan-European survey of senior professionals involved in feedback collection.  On the positive side, senior management say they want to use employee insights to inform strategic decision making. However, the research indicates that this is not what is happening in reality.

Many organisations are heavily focused on tactical surveys such as collecting feedback around training evaluation (64%) and exit surveys (60%). Very few are monitoring the entire employee lifecycle, with just 18% conducting onboarding surveys and only 4% asking for feedback when there are major changes in the employee journey, such as promotions, team changes, or being assigned a new manager.  There are not enough examples of regular, integrated programmes that embed feedback into business decision making
