St John Ambulance is a 900-year-old charity, known as a market leader in workplace training, with over 250,000 people a year given life-saving skills which has been greatly impacted by COVID-19 as organisations were forced to close doors. They have had to adapt quickly and invested in digital technology to offer training virtually. This enabled them to provide some modules for free, to enable key workers from a wide range of sectors to refresh vital first aid skills, from nursery workers and school teachers, to those in factories and construction.

At the same time, they have played a vital role in supporting the NHS by training thousands of first aiders to help its frontline staff fight COVID-19 on ambulances, in hospitals and in the community settings. Recently they have been carrying out their biggest peacetime operation to date, training over 30,000 volunteers to assist with the vaccination programme.

Peter Banks, Founder & Managing Director commented ‘We are delighted to support St John Ambulance who have clearly been impacted hugely by reduced revenues, but who have still been selflessly providing their vital training for key workers and offering tremendous support to the NHS in helping to roll out the vaccine. We look forward, not only to raising some much-needed funds, but to create further awareness, as we are donating free advertising space across our print and digital resources.’

25% of all Subscriptions fees, in both print and digital, will go to St John Ambulance, a very worthy charity who are helping so many at their time of need.
