Recruiter reckons in-house recruitment missing digital trick

Research suggests a damaging disconnect of digital trends, comparing in-house and agency roles by digital marketing professionals.

71 percent of in-house recruiters surveyed believe that their business is up to date with the latest digital trends. However, 67 percent of digital professionals do not agree that in-house businesses are fully up to date, compared to agencies, with evolving digital trends and the different strands of digital marketing. This disconnect was thought to be one of the reasons why online businesses are experiencing alarming staff attrition rates. 87 percent of in-house recruitment is to replace outgoing employees, and digital marketers are on average, only remaining in an in-house position for a year.  

As online business is one of the fastest growing business markets – it is imperative that it remains on top of the innovative digital industry to attract the very best in digital marketing.  

The research was compiled by award winning digital marketing recruitment agency, The Candidate.
