The Government Equalities Office has published a toolkit for employers giving advice on how to understand and address their gender pay gap, which sets out a four-step ‘to do’ list.

The Government Equalities Office has published a toolkit for employers giving advice on how to understand and address their gender pay gap. The toolkit sets out a four-step ‘to do’ list: 1. Calculate and publish the organisation’s gender pay gap information, as required by law, before the deadline: 30th March 2018 for public sector and 4th April 2018 for private/voluntary sectors utilising the Acas/GEO guidance on how to report the gap or the CIPD guide; 2. Analyse the data to learn where the biggest improvement can be achieved; 3. Commit to an action plan, which suggests that three actions should be picked from the list in the pages that follow; and 4. Monitor progress.
