Government publishes new statutory payment rates for 2014/2015

The Government has published the new proposed statutory payment rates to apply from April 2014 through to the relevant end date in 2015:

  • The standard rates of statutory maternity, paternity and adoption pay will increase from £136.78 to £138.18 per week (pw), with the earnings threshold for all three increasing from £109.00 to £111.00 pw.
  • The standard maternity allowance rate (for those not qualifying for statutory maternity pay) will increase from 136.78 to 138.18 pw, but the earnings threshold remains at £30 pw.
  • Statutory sick pay will increase from £86.70 to £87.55 pw, with the earnings threshold increasing from £109.00 to £111.00 pw.
