The BIS has published a call for evidence seeking views on

The BIS has published a call for evidence seeking views on: (i) whether existing dismissal processes might be made simpler, quicker and clearer as they are often perceived as being lengthy and unfair to both employers and employees; and (ii) the concept of ‘compensated no-fault dismissal’ for businesses with fewer than 10 employees, i.e. a business would be able to dismiss an employee where no fault was identified on the part of the employee, provided that it paid a set amount of compensation.
