Oct to Dec 2017 stats show 90% increase in ET claims

Ministry of Justice tribunal statistics for October to December 2017 show that single claim receipts increased by 90% and multiple claims increased by 467% compared to the same period in 2016.

Ministry of Justice tribunal statistics for October to December 2017 show that single claim receipts increased by 90% and multiple claims increased by 467% compared to the same period in 2016. During this period 31% of complaints were settled by Acas, 21% were dismissed upon withdrawal, 12% were withdrawn, and 8% were successful at hearing. The most common claim heard was unauthorised deductions from wages. Over the same period, 3,337 ET fee refunds were paid, post the abolition of fees, totalling £2,758,316.
