The EU Commission is consulting with the EU level social partners seeking their views on the possible consolidation of three Directives on: (i) collective redundancies; (ii) transfers of undertakings; and (iii) a general framework for information and consultation of workers. The consultation includes looking at the possible direction of European Union action aimed at strengthening the coherence and effectiveness of existing EU legislation on worker information and consultation at national level and whether the definitions of the concepts of 'information' and 'consultation' could be better aligned. The social partners' views are expected by 30 June 2015.
