The latest XpertHR research shows that the median labour turnover rate for 2011 stood at 13.2% and the average at 15.6%. The median (midpoint in the range) voluntary resignation rate in the UK was 7.9% in 2011. The highest resignation rates in the economy were experienced by private-sector-services employers, with a median of 9%, compared with 6.1% in the public sector. For HR professionals, the resignation rate to 1 September 2011 was 9.6%, more than double the 4.7% rate recorded in last year’s XpertHR survey.
