We are seeking an HR Advisor, ideally CIPD qualified, to join our team at an exciting time for the University. 

We are in the process of implementing a new People and Culture Strategy, and are seeking to deliver an ambitious change agenda. You will play a key part in supporting the development of our people practices and in providing a quality HR service. 

You will be joining a highly enthusiastic and dedicated HR team in a role providing wide-ranging HR support to a designated client group. You will be accountable for professional support of the employment lifecycle, engaging proactively with University staff and external stakeholders to deliver an effective and efficient HR service. This will include giving robust advice on terms and conditions of employment, recruitment and on-boarding processes and on employee relations casework – from the straightforward to the more complex – ensuring the highest standards of outcome.

You will support the updating and management of the HR Management Information system in a timely manner to ensure that data is accurate and up to date. You will also be capable of developing a good working knowledge of systems in order to actively support and engage staff and managers in using the MI systems to support effective people management. 

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and influencing skills, attention to detail and precision with outputs; the ability to take the initiative and work under pressure and has had previous experience of providing a professional HR service.

The post holder will be based in Luton with regular travel to other sites as required. The University operates a hybrid working policy which allows staff to work at least one day a week at home.

Interviews will take place week 13 and 18 October 2022.
