Renowned conference includes global L&D leaders

At the highly respected conference, L&D leaders from across the globe

WORLD OF LEARNING CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION

The illustrious World of Learning Conference & Exhibition is the essential event for learning and development professionals. Combining top industry innovators, leading suppliers and the latest in interactive learning technology, this year’s World of Learning will examine, discuss and shape the future of business learning.

Celebrating its 23rd year, the two day event takes place on 29th and 30th September at Birmingham’s NEC. Offering a bespoke schedule of seminars, sessions and panel debates, the exhibition and conference will enable L&D specialists to develop their skills and consult their peers and experts in order to equip them with the capabilities to succeed in the current and future business environment.

At the highly respected conference, L&D leaders from across the globe will share valuable insight into key issues and trends such as creating a learning culture that drives business growth, the latest learning technologies, talent management, resilience, mindfulness and gamification. This includes experts from LinkedIn, Coca-Cola and Capital One International.

HR director at Capital One International, Karen Bowes, will deliver the opening address, exploring a key theme of the conference – ‘Creating a learning culture that drives business growth’. Sarah Teagle, business partner at AstraZeneca, will also tap into this theme in ‘L&D as a true business partner addressing real business needs.’

Head of Learning Technologies at LinkedIn, Robert Todd, is set to share the ‘latest developments in learning technologies’ in his keynote, while international speaker Nigel Paine will look to the future in ‘the top ten challenges the learning professional will face in the next ten years’ in the final keynote.

Coca-Cola’s European senior L&D manager Cathy Hoy will use her session to explore a current hot topic – how to develop an ‘agile business’, considering the evolving role of L&D teams. Her insightful talk forms part of a series of exclusive sessions for Platinum delegates which also includes sessions on leadership and the future of blended learning.

Alongside the renowned conference is a comprehensive exhibition which includes a range of interactive areas where visitors can receive hands-on, practical advice. These include the Technological Test Drive area, enabling visitors to test the latest innovations. The Mindfulness Zone provides strategy on increasing employee productivity and engagement, while the Experiential Learning Zone delivers a series of interactive bite-sized skill sessions on key areas including emotional intelligence.
