The IRCA has been set up to
promote collaboration, knowledge, learning and professional development between
members whilst developing a forum for advancing new ideas in reward amongst
consultants, practitioners and academics. Two founder members, Michael Rose and Paul
Bissell, were formerly Vice Presidents, Reward for the CIPD
and all are Chartered Members, Fellows or Companions of the Institute.

Other members have been involved
in ground breaking initiatives in recent years, which have led to numerous
Employee Benefits and other industry awards for reward excellence.  In particular, Chris
Wilson and Michael Rose
were consecutive winners of the Employee Benefits Compensation and Benefits
Professional of the Year award in 2008 and 2009 respectively. All the founder
members are excited by the ground breaking potential of the IRCA.  Sylvia Doyle and Evan Davidge pointed out
that the IRCA pulls together seasoned independent reward consultants whose
collective knowledge and experience enables them to leverage the potential of
“one man bands” and provide higher added value services to their clients.

The IRCA plans to host events in the future, form partnerships
with other entities and extend membership on an Associate basis to a limited
number of independent reward consultants.
