Mediation and Strategic Conflict Resolution

Mediation and Strategic Conflict Resolution
10 March 2010, London, £550 + VAT
Getting to grips with the management strategies surrounding conflict in the workplace can be a challenging process for HR. Successfully handling conflict and resolving disputes can have multiple advantages for business performance - improved employee relationships, enhanced productivity and decreasing levels of absenteeism are all positive outcomes of effective dispute management. With the current overhaul of legislation in this area led by the Employment Act and the continued support for mediation from the courts and tribunals it is essential for HR to keep abreast of developments in this area.
Mediation requires many skills. Yet without the thinking behind the process as well as a strategic implementation plan, no company will be fully equipped to use this form of alternative dispute resolution to their full advantage.
Designed for:
HR professionals, line managers, in house councilors and legal advisers, policy advisers, employee communication professionals and employee and industrial relations officers.
